 Hi,

We are having problems with SCA and 3DSecure authentication with this message in the Stripe dashboard:

Payment declined because cardholder bank required authentication. Until you update your integration to handle 3D Secure authentication, payments like this will continue to be declined.

Maybe I'm missing something in the config.

For 3D Secure support, I chose "Enabled" (Second option)

For Advance parameters: "Direct charge"

Not sure if I have to look into something else

Installed version 2.3.2 on joomla 3.9.6

Hi Nacho,

I don't remember why you have Direct charge in advance params, but this is not good any more with 3DS and current Stripe recommendations.

Maybe it was an old setup, and using an extension for one page checkout. If it is the case, then there are chances that my Stripe..js is stripped don by the OPC ajax stuff.

Please let me know, and we will find out a solution.

Hi

Made the change and now the card payments are not even registered in the Stripe Dashboard.

We are using Rupostel Onepage checkout, maybe there we have the problem
VirtueMart 3.4.5 10063 and OPC 2.0.387.040719

Hi Nacho,

Well, unfortunately, it seems to be cause by Rupostel OPC.

It would be great if my Stripe plugin could work with many other extensions like One Page Checkout, and "should" in an ideal world. However, I have worked and customised the code a lot already with some of these extensions, that are heavily using Ajax. But I cannot guarantee a full compatibility, with the complexity and diversity of the extensions out there. I do not state otherwise on my website, so one cannot be mislead by a vague promise or suggestion.

Also, in an ideal world, these OPC, changing a critical part of VirtueMart, should work properly with the major payment and shipment methods, and not the other way around. That being said, let's start with getting the Stripe plugin working with your website.

Please disable OPC, and try again.
Then, I cannot tell you if with up-to-date versions it will work. Most of the time, OPC breaks too much of the code.

Sorry about not replying, I know about the problem, and I do not have a direct solution right now, except disabling Rupostel OPC. Please could you just test it, to confirm that the Stripe plugin works with the default VirtueMart one page checkout. Then we will be sure it is not another side problem.

Functionality

Once you go through the documentation and try out the settings (and don't forget to test it with a "test item", it works like a dream.

Ease of use

Very easy to use, though a little play with the settings may be needed to get an understanding of the system. And you need a stripe account.

Support

Best support ever. Hervé has been very patient and kind and helped me greatly when the Stripe plugin no longer spoke with the new updates.

Documentation

Documentation is very good. You do need a Stripe account, and you need a little "try out" time to get it all in place.

Value for money

Yes, very much value for money. The plugin, Hervé's support, the easy for the customers to use it. It is all worth it.

I used this to: I use it for my IMRF Bookshop: imrfbookshop(.)org. People can now pay by credit/debit card, Paypal (different plugin) and they can request an invoice and pay by bank transfer.

I particularly liked that test and live config is entered once, and a radio button to switch between modes

Straight forward to setup in the backend and easy for customers to use on the frontend.

Support

Issues created by an upgrade to Virtuemart were dealt with in a timely manner by the developer.

Documentation

Good documentation library that uses screen shots to clearly show configurations

Value for money

Yes. There are different subscription options, depending on your requirements.

I used this to: Selling various items of merchandise for a sailing club through Virtuemart.

This plugin is great! At first I couldn't get it to work with my install of joomla and virtuemart--but the great tech support from Puma-it (Herve) did real right by me, helping me to quickly resolve the problem and get this up and working on my site. Thanks Herve for your great Code and keep up the great work!
