 Hi,
I want to ask you this question. Do you have any settings on your plugin for preventing fraud orders which are using different address than the credit card address.

For example the order is coming from Texas IP address but on the card the address is from Florida.

How can this be done?

Thank you for your question.

A quick reply to your suggestion: this kind of rules might be really inappropriate, when your customer from Florida is placing an order while travelling in Texas. Same if using IP addresses at country level.

Fraud prevention and protection for online payment is vast topic, and I only know part of it. Also payment processors like Stripe (and your bank as well) are in the best position to prevent fraud.

It is an ongoing process, and rules and methods are evolving with new fraud attempts. They also tend to be kept secret, to avoid being worked around too soon by fraudsters.

You should check what is already in place in your Stripe.com account.
Also I would suggest reading Stripe's new set of tools Radar https://stripe.com/docs/radar

Since the beginning of this VM plugin code, that's the billing the Billing name and address, in VirtueMart checkout, that is sent for payment processing. CVC and address zip checks were already available for a while now in Stripe.com.

Finally, if there is some feature requests for specific fraud prevention options, I will of course consider them. But you are the first one to point at this one for the moment.

Stripe Plugin for Virtumart best Ever

Functionality

Once you go through the documentation and try out the settings (and don't forget to test it with a "test item", it works like a dream.

Ease of use

Very easy to use, though a little play with the settings may be needed to get an understanding of the system. And you need a stripe account.

Support

Best support ever. Hervé has been very patient and kind and helped me greatly when the Stripe plugin no longer spoke with the new updates.

Documentation

Documentation is very good. You do need a Stripe account, and you need a little "try out" time to get it all in place.

Value for money

Yes, very much value for money. The plugin, Hervé's support, the easy for the customers to use it. It is all worth it.

I used this to: I use it for my IMRF Bookshop: imrfbookshop(.)org. People can now pay by credit/debit card, Paypal (different plugin) and they can request an invoice and pay by bank transfer.

I particularly liked that test and live config is entered once, and a radio button to switch between modes

Straight forward to setup in the backend and easy for customers to use on the frontend.

Support

Issues created by an upgrade to Virtuemart were dealt with in a timely manner by the developer.

Documentation

Good documentation library that uses screen shots to clearly show configurations

Value for money

Yes. There are different subscription options, depending on your requirements.

I used this to: Selling various items of merchandise for a sailing club through Virtuemart.

This plugin is great! At first I couldn't get it to work with my install of joomla and virtuemart--but the great tech support from Puma-it (Herve) did real right by me, helping me to quickly resolve the problem and get this up and working on my site.
