Suspension of plugins development

We have taken the difficult decision to suspend development, before further decision and arrangements for our customers.

#90 – Issue with transaction fee displaying in cart

Hello, thankyou for a great module.
I have used your Stripe module in 2 different Joomla/Virtuemart installations with different templates and themes and have the same issue. I have set a 2.5% transaction fee for CC transaction in the Stripe configuration which displays under the Stripe payment option in the checkout. However, the problem is that the percentage amount also appears in the right hand column under the cart no matter if a different payment option is selected.

You can see in the attached picture that the Bank Transfer option is selected, but it still shows the CC fee on the right hand side. The Total is correct at the bottom, but I would like the value to disappear when a different payment option is selected.

In the other installation I have a PayPal option which just shows the fee underneath the logo only, but the Stripe CC fee is shown in the right column as well.

I will try to reproduce the issue, as it is the first time it is reported, ans I get back to you.

In the meantime, please could you provide me with your server setup and versions details?
- Server Operating System

I could reproduce the issue. Apologises about the inconvenience caused. I'm debugging it right now, and I will provide you with a fix as soon as possible.

Hi Markus,

I searched a lot, but a found a weird behaviour as a side effect. I had to stop last evening to catter for my clients with the joomla security release, and I'm back tracking this bug down. Very similar code with Authorize.net and Paypal, which do not have the issue, so looking a details now!

Apologises for the delay. I will keep you posted.

Thank you for your patience.
I found one line of code, changed a few weeks ago, while refactoring one unused variable. For some reasons that I will not search now, it works properly when using the non-refactored line...

Anyway, I've fixed the issue, and I'm performing some other tests to make sure the plugin is working as expected.

I will send you the updated version first, and then release the new version.

Functionality

Once you go through the documentation and try out the settings (and don't forget to test it with a "test item", it works like a dream.

Ease of use

Very easy to use, though a little play with the settings may be needed to get an understanding of the system. And you need a stripe account.

Support

Best support ever. Hervé has been very patient and kind and helped me greatly when the Stripe plugin no longer spoke with the new updates.

Documentation

Documentation is very good. You do need a Stripe account, and you need a little "try out" time to get it all in place.

Yes, very much value for money. The plugin, Hervé's support, the easy for the customers to use it. It is all worth it.
