Hi Herve

i appreciate you are on holidays but hoping you may be able to help. I am trying to test the Authipay plugin for virtuemart but i am having issues successfully getting it to work. I have contacted Authipay support and they are telling me that no transaction time and date is being submitted within your plugin and thats why no transactions can go through, have you ever encountered this before ?

Thank you for using our plugin for VirtueMart 2.
Sorry about the issue. I have open a ticket for you, it is easier to follow.

I am not aware of this issue, but I will do further test and checks. Can you provide me with your server setup and versions details:
- Server Operating System
- Web server (Apache, IIS, ...)
- PHP 5.x.x
- MySql 5.x.x
- Joomla 2.x.x
- VirtueMart 2.x.x

I will then be able then to reproduce your problem, and get back to you in the next 48 hours. In the meantime, could you try to change the Time zone settings in the plugin, because it could be an issue between your server and Authipay server time.

Hi Herve,

I have noticed that once you change the timexone within the configuration of the plugin it does not seem to save just defaults back to GMT have you encountered this before ?

Hi Tommy,

I do not see any reason why it stopped working. But it is strange, and maybe not completely safe, to have the latest VM and not Joomla version.

However, I can do emergency maintenance and operations on my clients' web sites, but I cannot access all my development and test environment while away from my office. Sorry about that.

So, as a compensation, I will extend your plugin subscription from the number of days since the ticket opening until I have fixed when I'm back (25/09). You will still avail of the 25% off afterwards if you want to renew your subscription, so do not worry about the automated email reminders!

Hi Tommy,

I am currently trying to reproduce your issue, using a real case shop. I have also contacted Authipay to make sure there were no changes on their platform, and they confirmed me it was fine.

I will contact you back very soon.

In the meantime, do you have a test/dev copy of your website available? Or would you be able to provide me a backup of the website, so that I can further test, if needed? (akeeba backup jpa file preferred).

I think I found the issue, with the date and time zone mixed up between Joomla and hosting server settings.
I will have a fix very soon, after further testings.

And in any case, I can provide you with a custom version if you need to go live before these tests.

The issue has been fixed. Everything is working as expected now, except for the response details stored from Authipay (transaction date and time zone not correctly formatted, probably), but it is really a minor bug. I will work on it very soon, with further enhancements that I found while fixing this issue.

I am finishing the release package and updating my website for it.

Thank you for reporting this bug and allowing to release a new version. It has open up as well some enhancements to implement in the coming weeks.

You can download the new version. Your subscription has been extended to the 13/10/2014. To avail the 25% discount on renewals, to have further updates and support, renew before this expiration date.

Functionality

Once you go through the documentation and try out the settings (and don't forget to test it with a "test item", it works like a dream.

Ease of use

Very easy to use, though a little play with the settings may be needed to get an understanding of the system. And you need a stripe account.

Support

Best support ever. Hervé has been very patient and kind and helped me greatly when the Stripe plugin no longer spoke with the new updates.

Documentation

Documentation is very good. You do need a Stripe account, and you need a little "try out" time to get it all in place.

Value for money

Yes, very much value for money. The plugin, Hervé's support, the easy for the customers to use it. It is all worth it.

I used this to: I use it for my IMRF Bookshop: imrfbookshop(.)org. People can now pay by credit/debit card, Paypal (different plugin) and they can request an invoice and pay by bank transfer.
