Would it be possible to prevent calling js.stripe.com on each and every web page as the VM_cart module gets updated/checked. Currently each and every page the VM_cart/script is calling on stripe.com several times, even when there is nothing in the cart, where this should only be required on the final checkout page.

Our site (https://www.labtie.com) has a small Cart module (VM_cart) in the top-right corner that triggers this behavior. This module is the original VM module (nothing in this module is modded)

VM version: 3.4.0 (however also happend at VM 3.2.x)
Joomla: 3.8.12
PHP: 7.2.7

This situation, with the default VirtueMart cart module, has never been reported to me before.

Hello Arno,

I am re-opening this ticket to give you an update, as promised before. And also because this is public ticket that may be of interest to other clients.

I did find the location to get the Stripe.js call only on checkout and payment pages. But I also find out that the Stripe recommendation is actually for including stripe.js on every page!

To best leverage Stripe’s advanced fraud functionality, include Stripe.js on every page on your site, not just the checkout page. Including the script on every page allows Stripe to detect anomalous behaviour that may be indicative of fraud as users browse your website.

So I prefer to leave it like it is, to enable the Stripe fraud functionality by default for each website. If there is more request or feedback on this feature, I could add what you asked as an option in the payment method settings.

Functionality

Once you go through the documentation and try out the settings (and don't forget to test it with a "test item", it works like a dream.

Ease of use

Very easy to use, though a little play with the settings may be needed to get an understanding of the system. And you need a stripe account.

Support

Best support ever. Hervé has been very patient and kind and helped me greatly when the Stripe plugin no longer spoke with the new updates.

Documentation

Documentation is very good. You do need a Stripe account, and you need a little "try out" time to get it all in place.

Value for money

Yes, very much value for money. The plugin, Hervé's support, the easy for the customers to use it. It is all worth it.

I used this to: I use it for my IMRF Bookshop: imrfbookshop(.)org. People can now pay by credit/debit card, Paypal (different plugin) and they can request an invoice and pay by bank transfer.

Straight forward to setup in the backend and easy for customers to use on the frontend.

Issues created by an upgrade to Virtuemart were dealt with in a timely manner by the developer.

Good documentation library that uses screen shots to clearly show configurations

Value for money

Yes. There are different subscription options, depending on your requirements.

I used this to: Selling various items of merchandise for a sailing club through Virtuemart.
